Working with individuals from all walks of life, from scout groups, mental health illness and special educational needs the forest has a lot to offer. Fully trained Bushcraft and Forest Schools instructor.
Having worked in the outdoor industry for a long period of time, Adam Birch ensures that sessions are fun, informative and safe. He holds a Forest Schools Practitioner Award and a Foundation Bushcraft Competency Award which has allowed him to gain an extensive amount of experience teaching groups of all abilities in the outdoor environment. Working with this freelance instructor you/ your group will be able to experience what the beautiful area of woodland has to offer you.
Group work
Throughout the years, there have been a variety of different groups that have worked in the forest. From people with psychological, social and behavioural needs, as well mental health and special educational needs, all groups can be catered for. The skills that they can aquire are tool use, fire lighting, shelter building, improving fine and gross motor skills and learning to teambuild with their peers. These skills have promoted independence, self-esteem and general well-being.
There have been countless improvements for many individuals that come and explore the forest and the benefits have been vast.
Birthday parties

A different way to celebrate your loved one's birthday! From a day of fire lighting (with marshmallow toasting) and shelter building, this would be an affordable and adaptable party. You can even add the option of homemade cupcakes with a forest twist.
